Fountain Sim is a simple system in which the player takes on the role of a child throwing coins into a fountain inside of a mall. The system is complete with stealing coins from the fountain by avoiding the gaze of the security guard, a functioning capsule machine that dispenses either stickers, candy or the occasional cheat code and a fun sound when you land a coin into the top of the fountain!

With Fountain Sim, I really wanted to recreate the feeling of going to the mall with my parents when I was a kid. I wanted to make sure that the experience was complete and hit on several of the most memorable aspects such as tossing coins into a big fountain and spending quarters on candy and other things in the vending machines. I'm also particularly drawn to systems that are engaging without the use of movement and wanted the player to be able to do everything in one place without having to move large distances to interact with things. The four different camera angles that the player can toggle between allow them to quickly switch from one activity to another with ease. The laid back atmosphere and the "play at your own pace" game play really come together to create a silly and relaxing little experience.
